ABOUT CASA MUZA

Founded in 2018 in New York City’s Lower East Side, Casa Muza began as a studio for MUZA, our in-house ready-to-wear line. It soon evolved into a storefront and cultural gathering space, rooted in community, fashion, and art, and shaped by the voices of the Puerto Rican diaspora.

In 2020, we relocated to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where Casa Muza grew into a curated boutique and production studio—crafting our collections in small runs while supporting artists and designers from across Latin America and the Caribbean.

CASA MUZA TODAY

After several meaningful years in New York, Casa Muza returned to Puerto Rico in 2024 to expand its studio practice and deepen relationships with regional artisans. In 2025, we established our permanent base on the island, grounding the brand in Caribbean heritage while continuing to work between Puerto Rico and New York.

Today, Casa Muza creates limited-edition collections in small, intentional runs—weaving cultural narrative with contemporary design and refined craftsmanship.

Founder & Creative Director

Polet Guzmán is a Puerto Rican artist and designer, and the founder and creative director of Casa Muza. Her work began at the School of Fine Arts in San Juan, where she explored fabric as a medium for storytelling and wearable form. This practice evolved into MUZA, a brand rooted in Caribbean identity, ancestral memory, and the generational strength of women.

HOW WE CREATE

We work between our studio in Puerto Rico, our base in New York, and our production partners in Guatemala. Our patterns and samples are developed in-house, while small capsule collections are produced in limited quantities in collaboration with artisans and women-led communities.

We source fabrics intentionally—from the Garment District in New York, from local suppliers in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and from trusted textile mills in Guatemala. While not all materials are natural fibers, our Guatemalan production partners prioritize natural textiles, sustainable techniques, and family-owned mills committed to ethical, circular practices.
